The name of the bag type, ‘Nipsu’, has its origin in the Moomin stories by Tove Jansson. Nipsu is the name of Sniff in Finnish. His parents, The Muddler and The Fuzzy, were great friends with Moominpappa according to Moominpappa’s Memoirs. Sniff is a timid creature who tries to overcome his fears. Nipsu backpacks are made of durable polyester. The bag is shaped like a basic one-compartment backpack with a black zip closure.
The print on this item, inspired by Tove Jansson’s stories, features a delightful climbing tree and many familiar characters. The tree’s winding trunk has invited the Moomins to climb it; Moomintroll, Little My, Snufkin and Snorkmaiden have followed the flowers and climbed high to admire the landscape below. Primadonna’s horse has also turned up, perhaps more tempted by the taste than the colours of the flowers. Such a lovely time among the beautiful flowers – but do remember to be careful and not fall down!
Be it a school day, hobby, studies or something else –a Nipsu backpack is a great friend that provides ample space for all kinds of equipment from your ABC-book to a laptop.
